1. How can I work for BRIGHT FOUNDATION?

Current OPENINGs are advertised on our CAREER page. Due to the number of enquiries we receive, we can only respond to applications for specific BRIGHT Foundation (BF) job postings.

2. How can I volunteer for BRIGHT?

Volunteers play a key role to help BRIGHT to achieve its mission. We appreciate the interest shown by those wishing to do voluntary work with BF, we do not have the resources to keep volunteer applications on file.

3. How can I work as an intern with BRIGHT?

BF often runs short-term, voluntary, unpaid internships comprising a single role, based in either Kolkata, India office or one of our Advocacy offices. Please refer to the job description for the location of individual internships. We will list any available internship opportunities on our Jobs page. These internships offer the opportunity to work on a specific project or discipline within one team. Although we cannot guarantee employment beyond the internship, our internships are designed to offer work experience, and interns are welcome to apply for our paid/unpaid vacancies. Unfortunately, due to limited resources, we cannot keep resumes/CVs on file, so please only respond to advertised vacancies.

4. Where can I find detailed information on BRIGHT partners and projects?

In all our actions BF’s goal is to enable people to exercise their rights and manage their own lives. From long-term program work and short-term emergency relief to immediate campaign action, BF believes in empowering people. BRIGHT strives to work with local partners and takes a rights-based approach to our development work. BRIGHT is having enormous diversity of programs and partners. For more detailed partner and project information, please visit the website on regular basis.

5. Where can I find research information on BRIGHT for my studies?

We receive huge number of requests from school children and College & university students asking for help. Unfortunately, due to our limited resources we cannot advise research students on an individual basis.BF produces a wealth of information, covering various topics. For an overview of the range of BF’s activities, see our latest Annual Report. There is also a great deal of useful information available on all the BF websites.

6. How can I participate in BRIGHT’s campaigning events?

BF campaigns for changes that will make the SOCIETY safer and more just for its poorest and most vulnerable people. Take action online now.

7. How can I get a loan or grant to cover my studies?

BF share a policy not to provide loans or grants to individuals, preferring to use our limited resources to support groups of people in the countries where we work to set up development, humanitarian assistance and advocacy projects that will benefit a whole community, region or nation. However, to find answers to your general financial aid questions, we recommend mail your query to us.

8. Where can I find financial information on BRIGHT FOUNDATION? A summary can be found in our most recent Annual Report. In addition, if you require more detailed figures about a particular issue, please contact directly through the CONTACT section of this website.

9. How can I seek funding from BRIGHT?

BF share a policy not to provide loans or grants to individuals, preferring to use our limited resources to support groups of people in the countries where we work to set up development, humanitarian assistance and advocacy projects that will benefit a whole community, region or nation. BF is not a funding body and is not directly involved with program decisions such as choosing or funding partners. These decisions are made by our members in line with the Mission. You should therefore approach BF directly. Our members can then respond according to their program priorities.

You will find contact information in the Contact area of this website. When contacting BF, please make clear the specific information you need or the reason for your inquiry – this will help us respond more quickly.

11. Can I link to the BRIGHT website?

Yes – please do! BF works with communities, allies and partner organizations, undertaking long-term development, emergency work and research, and campaigning for a fairer world.
